Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about the Swing Signature Score, how it works, and how to get started.
A single composite score out of 70 that measures a hitter's swing mechanics across 7 sequential phases and 28 biomechanical sub-metrics. AI-powered analysis handles the measurement, then elite coaching expertise validates and refines every insight.
No sensors, no wearables, no motion-capture lab. Just a camera, a cage, and a coach's trained eye. Most tools give you raw data that requires a biomechanics degree to interpret — SSS gives you one clear number, phase-by-phase breakdowns, and plain-language coaching insight.
Players ages 8–18. The scoring rubric is calibrated for youth development, not professional mechanics. The framework grows with the player — a 10-year-old in the Foundational tier has a clear, measurable path to Developing and beyond.
No — it's the perfect complement. AI handles the measurement, elite coaching expertise shapes the analysis, and your coach uses the report to give targeted drills. SSS tells you WHY your mechanics produce the numbers they do, and what specifically to work on.
The Player Development Program is $39.99/month per player. This includes a monthly scored assessment, progress tracking, side-by-side elite comparison, shareable report URL, and PDF export.
Your coach. They're trained on the 7 swing phases and know the right camera angles. This ensures consistent, high-quality analysis every time. You don't need to do anything except show up to the session.
Your coach will share a published report URL with you. You can view it on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop. No login required to view a shared report.
Yes. Cancel anytime through your subscription management page. Your existing reports stay accessible — you never lose access to past assessments.
The subscription is per player, not per coach. Any partnered coach can generate your monthly report.
Monthly. Your coach captures new swing photos during a regular session, and the new report links to your player's development profile showing progress over time.
Starting Position, Apex Gather, Launch Position, Attack Angle, Bat Lag, Contact, and Extension. Each phase represents a key moment in the swing sequence that elite coaches evaluate.
Each sub-metric is rated on a 5-point scale: 0.5 (Beginner), 1.0 (Needs Work), 1.5 (Average), 2.0 (Above Average), and 2.5 (Elite). Four sub-metrics per phase gives a maximum of 10 points per phase.
Foundational (0–24), Developing (25–42), Advanced (43–56), and Elite (57–70). The tier is determined by the composite score — the sum of all 7 phase totals.
Absolutely — that's the point. Monthly assessments track progress over time, so you can see the score climb and tiers change as mechanics improve. The development curve is the most powerful part of the report.
